  The mission of Illinois Swimming is to govern in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with USA Swimming and Illinois Swimming by-laws and rules and regulations; to support the growth and development of our membership through educational initiatives, financial assistance and program development at all levels; to promote the sport, athletes and membership to achieve excellence in swimming

Congratulation to all the swimmers at the Olympic TrialsCongratulations to Illinois Swim Coaches.  The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) annually recognizes those coaches who coach a swimmer to a Top-8 finish at one of several USA National Level Championships.  This recognition is the Award of Excellence list.  Special congratulations to the following Illinois Swimming coaches on being named to that prestigious list:  Judy Busse (Express Swim Team); Bob Groseth (Wildcat Aquatics) and Bob Kizer (New Trier Swim Club). 6/22/09

Congratulation to all the swimmers at the Olympic TrialsVolunteer of The Year Nominations. 2009 Illinois Swimming “Volunteer of the Year” nominations being sought.  The Illinois Swimming “Volunteer of the Year” award was created by Illinois Swimming in 2007 to recognize the efforts of an outstanding volunteer from one of the clubs within Illinois Swimming. The idea and funding for this award was made possible by an anonymous donation. Each Illinois Swimming club is eligible to nominate one volunteer from their club to be considered for this award and all nominations must be received in the ISI Office by July 1, 2009.  Forms will be reviewed by a panel and the winner will be honored at the ISI Annual Athlete Recognition Banquet Oct. 11. Effective immediately, the Meet Results page and Records page will provide you with a direct link to the Illinois Swimming LSC Portal on the USA Swimming Site, which is where official results and records are kept. Rules Addendum Published. Please see the Rules and Regulations page for a new publication from ISI. The new posting is issued as an addendum to the Illinois Swimming Rules and Regulations, which were updated and published in October 2006.
