01-28-2010 Elgin Cyclones Age Group Coach
The Elgin Cyclones are currently looking for a hard working, dedicated, and experienced, age group coach. A relatively new team, the Cyclones are growing into one of the areas most exciting teams. Based out of The Centre of Elgin, the Cyclones use an 8 lane 25 yard lap pool for practices and meets.
All applicants must have experience in coaching, good communication skills, a working knowledge of the stroke fundamentals, and an understanding of athlete development. The ideal candidate should posses a current USA Swimming certification as well as a current ASCA certification. Coaches will be responsible for the supervising, training, and evaluation of all swimmers. They will also be responsible for the recruitment and retainment of all athletes. Age Group Coach will report to the Aquatic Supervisor. Coaches must pass background and drug screening prior to hire. All coaches will be required to become certified in CPR/first aid within 6 months of hire date. Salary discussed upon comparison with experience and qualifications. The City will also reimburse some training and other costs.

01-21-2010 Dundee Dolphins Swim Team Head Coach
Dundee Township Park District has an exciting opportunity for a Head Coach for the Dundee Dolphins. The Head Coach is responsible for designing a program philosophy and program description that will achieve the objectives established by the Park District. The Head Coach will manage and aid with administrating and establishing policy for all aspects of the program dealing directly with coaching, training, developing swimmers, competition and preparing a season plan.
Candidates shall have current USA Swimming coaching and safety certification. ASCA certification or the desire to complete to level two and beyond is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with a background in competitive swimming. The candidate should be experienced with Hy-Tek operation including Meet Manager, Team Manager and Business Manager. Web site management experience is a plus.
Candidates for this position must be energetic and able to motivate all levels of swimming ability in addition to teaching basic and advanced stroke technique.
This position begins immediately, prior to the start of the 2010 Long Course season. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Will manage all aspects of the Swim Team.
Responsible for planning, promoting, and coordinating programs for youth, teens, and families. Programs can include: leagues, instructional programs, teen clubs, and evening and weekend family activities. Also responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising staff, managing departments, creating new programs, expanding existing programs, as well as, other outreach efforts.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, Social Services, Recreation, or equivalent education experience, and 1-2 year(s) of relevant experience. Must possess the ability to relate well with youth, parents, and volunteers. Candidates must have previous supervisory, fiscal, and program development experience, and be able to meet the physical demands of leading group activities. Must also possess the ability to lead and motivate program staff, and work well as a team. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

09-29-2009 Barrington Swim Club
Barrington Swim Club located in Barrington, Illinois is seeking a part time Assistant Coach to join our staff. The position is available immediately and will be open until it is filled. BSC trains at Barrington High School in a 12 lane 25 yard by 10 lane 25 meter natatorium.
Assistant Coach responsibilities include:
- Assist the lead coach to run practice group.
- Working with young swimmers to teach them stronger technical and training skills.
- Hours of work will consist of 3-5 evenings a week for approximately 6-12 hours and weekend meets as needed.
- Practices are held in the evenings and Saturday mornings.
Qualifications: Applicants should have prior coaching experience or swimming experience and hold or be willing to obtain the following certifications: Coaches Safety Training, CPR and First Aid (as is required to obtain USA Swimming Coaching credentials).
Compensation: This is an hourly position and the rate will be commensurate with experience. BSC will also cover the costs of required certifications and USA Swimming membership.

The Blue Devil Swim Club, located in Gurnee, IL just 45 minutes north of Chicago is seeking 2 part time Coaches. The Blue Devil Swim Club is a year round club with 130 plus athletes of all skill levels of swimming.
Assistant Senior Coach
The qualified candidate will report to the Head Coach and assist with approximately 20 hours of duties per week, which may include up to 5 hours office work per week, and swim meets. In the absence of the Head Coach, the Assistant Senior Coach will assume the lead role for the Senior Group in administering and supervising daily workouts, other assistant coaches, and office work including but not limited to writing daily workouts, team organization & communication, creating meet entries, and website updating.
Assistant Age Group Coach
The qualified candidate will report to the Head Coach and assist with approximately 15 hours of duties per week, which will include practices and swim meets. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of coaching competitive swimming experience. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to work with young athletes, along with outstanding communication and teaching skills. Dependability and strong work ethic are a must. Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training or the ability to achieve them is required. Pay appropriate to qualifications and experience. The candidates must have working knowledge of Hytek Team Manager, Meet Manager, and Workout Manager.

08-03-2009 Dundee Dolphins Assistant Coach
The Dundee Dolphins swim team is seeking an Assistant Coach to join their staff.
Duties:
- This coach's main focus will be determined based upon the individual's strengths and credentials.
- Hours of work will consist of 4-6 days per week for approximately 5-12 hours/week, and meets as needed.
- Practices are held in the evening during the school year and are held at Dundee Township Park District, located at 655 Barrington Road in Carpentersville.
- Our Season is October 5-March 14 (approximately).
Qualifications:
Applicants should have competitive swimming experience as either a coach or a swimmer. Prior coaching experience is ideal. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to work with young athletes, along with outstanding communication and teaching skills. Dependability and strong work ethic are a must. Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training or the ability to achieve them is required. Pay appropriate to qualifications and experience.
