New Trier Swim Club in Winnetka, Illinois is seeking qualified candidates for a full time assistant coach in our Age Group program. NTSC is a Silver Medal Club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program, having been so honored for each of the last four years, and is consistently one of the top teams at Illinois and Sectional competitions.
The NTSC Age Group program consists of seven practice groups. This coach will lead two of those groups and assist our Head Age Group Coach with two others. This coach will also coordinate our video teaching program within the Age Group Program.
Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to work with young athletes, outstanding communication and teaching skills, experience coaching and/or swimming competitively. Computer/video experience is desirable but not required.

The Lakeshore Stingrays Swim Team located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago is looking for assistant coaches. We are a small team of about 55 swimmers ranging in age from 5-14. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not necessary. Hours are Monday 5-6:30, Tuesday and Wednesday 4-6:30, and Friday 4-5:30. Weekend meets are optional. Pay is based on experience. SUMMARY
Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of team management activity by performing the following duties personally or through coaching staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate the scheduling of ISI, Dual, Intersquad and Time Trial meets and submittal of meet packets and sanction requests to Illinois Swimming.
Coordinate payment for meet entries and USA Swimming Registration with the team’s ISI Registrar.
Coordinate all aspects of meet entries, from timely swimmer sign-ups to timely submission to hosting team’s entry chairperson.
Attend and assist all home swim meets, including equipment set-up.
Oversee coaching staff, including review of swimmer workouts. In addition, assist in hiring, and conducting formal reviews, of assistant coaches.
Create a plan for developing the coaching staff, including holding monthly meetings, and locating clinics through ASCA or coordinating in-house clinics.
Scheduling coaching staff for both practices (including dryland) and meets.
Approve daily coaches’ timesheets and submit bi-weekly payroll data to Paychex.
Review and approve expense reports.
Generate and update the monthly calendar of meets/practices/events for the website.
Review daily written swimmer attendance.
Submit all necessary outside pool paperwork as well as school usage forms (for seasonal usage, meet usage and special team activities).
Submit information monthly for the website (articles, interesting swim facts, fun things for younger swimmers, etc).
Respond to parents’ phone calls and e-mails. Be responsible for initiating, drafting and sending e-mail blasts to notify parents of important information.
Coordinate quarterly swimmer registration sessions, generate rosters, and update Swimmer Information binders.
Update all areas of the pool: bulletin boards, record boards, swimmer mailboxes, etc.
Understand and enforce all team rules and policies. Report all critical situations to the board, and have a board member present on its resolve.
QUALIFICATIONS

The Woodstock Dolphins Swim Team has immediate openings for up to two (2) assistant coaches for our upcoming summer season. The Blue Devil Swim Club, located in Gurnee , IL just 40 miles north of Chicago and 45 miles south of Milwaukee , is seeking an hourly Assistant to the Head Coach to begin immediately. The Blue Devil Swim Club is a year round club with 125 plus athletes of all skill levels of swimming. The qualified candidate will report to the Head Coach and assist with approximately 15-20 hours of duties per week, which may include up to 5 hours office work per week, and attend swim meets. The Lincoln Gators Swim Club is seeking to fill a position(s) for a Head or an Assistant Coach. LGSC is a rapidly growing team based in Lincoln , Illinois . Short course practices are held at the Lincoln College 25 yard pool. Long course summer practices are held at the Lincoln Elks club 25 meter pool and at the Lincoln Rec. Center ’s 50 meter pool. LHSC is looking for a part-time assistant coach to begin coaching in the SCY season of 2007-2008. New Trier Swim Club is seeking part time assistant coaches at both the Senior and Age Group levels. NTSC is one of the leading swim clubs in the Midwest with over 400 registered swimmers in eight practice groups. NTSC swimmers compete in competitions throughout Chicagoland, Illinois and the nation. We currently have three Olympic Trial Qualifiers and consistently place among the top teams in state competition.
NTSC has a staff of four full time coaches and 10 part time coaches and work to maintain a low coach/swimmer ratio. We operate out of four different pools during the winter season as well as an outdoor 50-meter pool in the summer.

CATS Aquatics Team is currently seeking part-time assistant swim coaches to coach at various levels for the upcoming 2007-2008 Short Course Season. There are several different coaching positions available.
CATS Aquatics is a rapidly growing team, located in Libertyville and Vernon Hills, Illinois. CATS utilizes the excellent aquatics facilities at both Libertyville and Vernon Hills High Schools. We have approximately 220 athletes on our team, most from within School District #128, but many others from all different parts of the far northern Chicago suburbs.
CATS is searching for highly motivated part-time Assistant Coaches who have a technique based coaching style that emphasizes positive reinforcement methods of coaching. We are looking for candidates that are knowledgeable in and have a passion for the sport of swimming. The candidates must be excited to coach and be strong motivators and leaders who are also effective communicators. The positions require mainly evening and weekend hours, which include attending one to two meets per month in addition to the daily practices. Practice times are usually in the early evening.
Pay is very competitive and commensurate with experience and qualification level. The following USA Swimming Coaching credentials will need to be obtained if the applicant does not already have them: CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Life Guard Training). Elgin YMCA Pelicans swim team is seeking for a coach or coaches for both of our traditional and accelerated groups under the supervision of the head coach .Through the 2004 -2006 winter season there over 175 team record swims & over 125 ‘First time swims’ the team philosophy is such that the ‘first time’ swim is just as important as the ‘team record’ swim. The Girls team placed 2nd at the Illinois Senior Championships and won their first NW YMCA District Title during 2005-2006 winter season while qualifying 8 individuals to the YMCA Nationals for Spring 2006.
Candidates should have 1 + full seasons or previous coaching experience at the club and or YMCA team be ready to lead these energetic practice groups with an emphasis on hard work, stroke development and a love for swimming. Flexibility in work schedule is required (evenings and weekends), as the position requires attending one to two meets per month in addition to daily practices. Practice times are 5pm to 9pm

07-05-2007 Bartlett Electrix Swim Team (BEST)
Opportunities are available for Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions for the upcoming 2007-2008 Short Course Season. We are seeking highly motivated and inspirational coaches that can provide leadership and development skills to elevate both swimmers and coaching staff to higher levels in competitive swimming.
BEST is a rapidly-growing team of 110+ swimmers located in Bartlett, IL (northwest suburbs of Chicago). Training facilities include the Bartlett Park District Splash Central and Streamwood Park District Park Place Aquatic Center.
Beyond having a solid swimming/coaching background, ideal qualities for the Head Coach position include strong communication skills and the ability to work with swimmers of all ages and levels. This position will also be involved with various administrative duties, including staff scheduling, Hy-tek meet entries and participation with a dedicated parent board. Coaching experience of 3-5 years is preferred, ASCA certification a plus.
Assistant Coach should be well-versed in skill techniques, including knowledge of proper stroke development, strength training, mental preparedness and the ability to instruct swimmers of all ages and levels. Swimming background and 1–3 years of coaching experience is preferred, ASCA certification a plus.
Work schedules for both positions include afternoon practices lasting 2–2.5 hours daily, 4-6 days a week, plus various weekends (typically two meets per month).
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualification levels. Potential to elevate coaching abilities through attendance at clinics, workshops or other educational opportunities is also strongly encouraged by the team. Coaches of all levels are welcome to apply. Candidates must possess all required ISI/USA Swimming coaching credentials – CPR, first aid, background screening, etc. (or ability to obtain prior to start).
